Assessing conditions on a permit (Secondary consent)

An applicant can request from the Responsible Authority consent regarding a condition of a planning permit. The Responsible Authority will be notified that the request has been lodged by the applicant. A mandatory action "Assess Request for Secondary Consent" is created for the Responsible Authority. A Responsible Authority has the option to accept or reject the request and will need to provide further information.

You will need to complete the following to assess a request for secondary consent from an applicant:

  1. Select the mandatory action "Assess Request for Secondary Consent".
  2. On the Assess Request for Secondary Consent screen, select the appropriate option ("Accept" or "Reject"), and click on 'next'.
  3. Browse for, and attach the appropriate PDF file.
  4. Select "add now" and a confirmation screen will display if the document was added successfully.
NOTE: If you have suppressed the "Attach Document" confirmation via settings, you will be returned directly to the Details Screen.
  5. Click on 'return' to go back to the Details Screen.
  6. To complete the process, the "Assess Request for Secondary Consent" must be authenticated using your SPEAR password.

Note: It is likely that as part of a secondary consent request, the Applicant Contact may have also added or modified documents/plans. This may require the Responsible Authority to make the decision to "endorse" documents/plans.

A notification email will be sent to the applicant advising of the outcome of the assessment.
